Tech Day - Thank you to the teachers who signed up for the Tech 1-to-1 day today. You all accomplished a lot in a short amount of time. Keep up the great work!

Email and spam - Message from Susan Ginsberg regarding our spam emails: A lot of Spam has been showing up in our Google accounts. It should be going into your Spam folder not your Inbox or anywhere else. You are able to select all the spam emails in the Spam folder by clicking on the leftmost box (the open square) above the messages and then click on Delete all spam messages now. It will delete everything in the Spam Folder. You may want to make sure that no legitimate emails are there before deleting everything.

Susan has contacted Google about the amount of spam coming through and she has made some changes in our email filters. Hopefully that will help. The problem is that once you filter out some words others pop up. It is a never ending spam battle! Thanks for your patience. Please continue to remove the spam from your Spam folder and let me know if any of this spam is going into your Inbox.

iPads:
1. Air Server: A reminder - Joe installed a piece of software on your computer called "Air Server" that will allow you to wirelessly mirror you iPad onto your computer (which in turn you can show on your classroom whiteboards). If time allows, I will plan a hands-on demo at the April Staff meeting. In the meantime if you'd like to give this a try, here are directions on how to use Air Server along with an ipad, computer and projector. It's quite easy. Give it a try...

2. iPads and Printing: Please select a time when Joe can have your classroom ipads to install and setup Printer Pro (ipad printing app). This will allow you to print reports from One Minute Reader and other apps that have printing capabilities on your ipads.

Hallway lab: I have noticed great improvement in the condition of the hallway lab. Thank you for helping to keep this area clean and in working order for all staff and students in the building. Please remind your students to leave the black headphone extension cable plugged into the computer. We are fortunate to have so much technology available to use - lets work hard to keep it in working order.

Report Cards: Term 2 of the report card is now open. If you'd like to get a head start on entering grades as you finish units, please do so.

Subscription Services - CultureGrams: We are purchasing a one year subscription to CultureGrams. Once the new subscription is finalized, I will add a link to CultureGrams under For Students. The link will have our subscription services embedded within the link. I know 4th grade found the website very helpful for their immigration/culture study. Second grade will be using it as part of their continent study.
