I wish everyone a wonderful break next week. Please read this at your leisure. Thank you to the many staff members that have shared pictures with me this week to post on the website. I am working on uploading more photos.

As always if you have any questions, please let me know.

Animoto Users: There is a new feature in this online video creation tool. They have added a photo editing tool. Editing tool bar - double click on any photo and use the pencil icon to start editing your photos - very handy tools.

Backing up files on your teacher laptop: Just a reminder that it is always good practice to backup your files saved on your teacher laptop (locally - on the desktop or in local documents). If you need a reminder on the process check out this video. Don't wait until it's too late!

HH Lab Color Printer: The lab color printer is back up and running. Please be very gentle when opening the side door to remove any paper jams. The door alignment is off so closing the door is tricky. Feel free to ask for assistance.

New Student Information System: You may have already seen the email from Leslie regarding a replacement tool for iPassThere are 3 tools in the running. If you'd like to attend their final sales presentations and have input on our new student information system, then please sign up for sessions (ms/elem teacher or admin asst sessions will be most pertinent to your work).  If you do plan on going and need coverage be sure to let Leslie know so that she provide coverage.

The implementation of a new software tool will affect anyone completing report cards. We are hoping (fingers-crossed) the new tool will also provide a hosting venue for all of the data you collect on students. Wouldn't it be great if all of the data was in one location!

Projector Bulbs: I continue to see many projectors left on while classrooms are empty. Please be more cognizant of turning of your projector when you are done using it; especially if you have left for the day. Bulb life is about 1000 hours and costs range from $100 - $200 dollars.

Ricoh Scan Folder: I have had several teachers ask me lately how to find their Ricoh Scan folder. If you need assistance, please follow these directions.

Tech Committee: The Tech Committee met this week. You are read our next here. We explore Osmo for iPad and talked about technology use in the building.

TECH PD:

Coming this fall - Teacher Google Bootcamp Certification - More details will follow.
