Post #28 - Chromebooks, End of Year Tech Procedures - Collection of Materials, iPads, New Printer

Chromebooks - FYI - As a precautionary measure, the MS chromebooks have been collected early due to battery malfunction on two laptops in the past month or so. There has been no determination as to the cause of the battery malfunction. Joe doesn't expect any issues with the HH Chromebooks.

End of Year Tech Procedure - Details regarding end of year technology procedures can be found here. Important dates to note:

  • All classroom carts need to be returned to the computer lab by 2:00 on Friday, June 17th. (please clean the devices)
  • All TA laptops along with chargers need to be returned to the computer lab by Friday, June 17th @ 3:00
  • All WTA staff must complete the summer equipment checkout from on the End of Year Tech Information page.
  • Hallway Lab closes at 10:00am on Friday, June 17th (no classes after that on Friday 17th and Monday 20th)
iPads: Over the summer all classroom ipads will be updated with the new operating system. (Not new devices) I am creating the list of apps that Joe should put back onto the iPads after the updates occur. I will be contacting each grade level to make sure that I have an accurate list of apps for your grade. This list will only include apps that have been approved through the software/app online form. 

New Printer: On Thursday afternoon, Joe installed the new printer in the modular area of the building. You can no longer print to HH_2nd_Grade_Area. The new printer name is HH_Outside_3rd_Grade. In order to print to the new printer (and have the old printer removed), please restart your computer. If you have any issues printing to this printer, please let me know.
