#16 - BrainPop, Google Classroom, Splash Math

Good Morning All,

I have three updates today. Please share your questions.

Wishing you all a relaxing long weekend!

BrainPop - Student Accounts Ready: BrainPop has signed the student data privacy contract. Therefore, student accounts are ready for use with grades 4 and 5. Here is the login information:

Student login account pattern:
username: Firstname_Lastname
password: Student ID

Teacher login information - For both BrainPop & BrainPop Jr:
username: Firstname_Lastname
password: *teachers received an email from BrainPOP to set up their passwords.

If you have forgotten your password, please use the "Login Help" link in the "Sign-In" window to reset your password.

Google Classroom - New Feature just released on Wednesday (while in the 3rd/4th grade tech inservice) - individualized learning in Google Classroom. You can now create assignments and assign them to individual students vs your entire class. When you click the + sign to create an assignment, you will now see a drop down menu next to your class entitled "All Students" (see image below). By default all students in your class are selected. You can deselect (uncheck) all students in the list and then check certain students who should get the assignment. Pretty cool! I have not used the feature yet but thought it would be helpful to you.

Specific directions from Google's help can be found here

Splash Math - We hit a snag with setting up the student usernames in Splash Math. Stay tuned for when you can have your students log in. It's probably best if only teachers login until we resolve the student account issue.

You may look around at the dashboard and preview the curriculum skills and games associated with each skill. The coaches and I are here to help you so reach out for support as you need it.

Teacher login information:

username: full email address
password: Wayland21 (you may reset this if you prefer)
