Google Meet Reminders and Tips: I know some of you have switched over to Google Meet from Zoom. Please read the Google Meet Tips page - lots of great info about using Google Meet safely with students. 

Here are a few highlights:

  • If using Google Calendar to set up the invite ahead of time, DO NOT actually enter their email addresses in the calendar invite. If you do, then students can enter the Meet BEFORE you arrive! 
  • Share the google meet link safely: A few options: via email to families, inside google classroom, or in a google doc.
  • You need to remove all students from the MEET to prevent them from rejoining the Meet after you leave. 

  • Trouble muting and unmuting your mic?? ✋ I've left meetings by accident.
  • On a MAC - use command+d - on a Chromebook or PC - use control +d this toggles your mic on/off!! But make sure you are on the Google Meet tab when doing this step!

TA Laptops: My apologies for not advising you to grab your laptops on our last day of face-to-face school. But if you'd like, you can grab it on one of the days that school is open for staff (sign up on the spreadsheet Tricia shared). To use your laptop at home, you will need to use your usual school login.
