Post #20: Google Meet Management, Grid View Solution,




Google Meet Management:  With all of the Google Meets happening, it can be challenging to keep track of all of the Google Meet links. 

A few tips:

  • Share Google Meet links via Google Calendar - This enables the participant to add the invite to their calendar and not having to search their email for the link.
  • Visit the Google Meet page - This can be found in the "waffle" (where you go to find calendar, docs, drive...) There you will find all of the meets you have been invited to via calendar. Click on the event to go into the Meet. See the image below.
  • If you have been invited by a general email, those Meets will not appear on your calendar or on the Google Meet page.

Grid View Issues: Today teachers reported issues with grid view not working properly. 

TEACHER SOLUTION: 

  1. Restart your computer
  2. If that does not work, remove and then reinstall grid view. Please see this article for directions.
  3. You might notice some new options in Grid View. I am still exploring it.

STUDENT SOLUTION: Please ask students to restart their Wayland Chromebooks in order to resolve this issue for them.
