Post #12: Teacher Shares, Chromebook Printing, Report Cards, Zoom, Student Rosters and Tech Committee

Teacher Shares

Another one from May - A great tip for sharing a google slide presentation without seeing the google editing sidebar. This would give you the ability to drag and drop objects on your screen while in a virtual session. Check it out here.

Teachers getting new MacBooks - be mindful of the documents you transfer to your new computer. If you were running out of storage space on your old computer, then the same will happen to your new computer if you simply transfer over all of the same files. Personally, there's nothing like a good document purge and starting fresh. 😆

Important Updates

Chromebook PRINTING is BACK!

Students and TAs should now be able to print from their Chromebooks. If for any reason students are still not able to print, please have them restart and try again.

Report Cards in eSchool

The Grading System is open. All teachers who provide reporting, please login to eSchool to make sure you have the correct classes and students scheduled for them, especially specialists. This is the time to make any necessary corrections.

Zoom on iPad

This week I noticed that Zoom is now allowing more than 9 participants in their gallery view!! Finally. Wonderful to see so many faces this week when using my iPad during tech classes. This is great news. Zoom must have had an app update recently.

Students moving in/out of WRAP

Eva provided the following information when I asked how student rosters would be updated as students move in/out of WRAP.

They (rosters) get automatically updated overnight for ST Math, IXL, Happy Numbers, BrainPOP, FOSS and SeeSaw via ClassLink. Ruth will be adding/updating rosters in Destiny, Lexia, Track My Progress, AMC Anywhere and ATRT. Karyn does Raz Kids.

Tech Committee

... to our returning tech committee members! Deb R, Miriam, May, Trang, Jaclyn, and Colleen, your input continues to be very valuable - now more than ever! Stay tuned for an email to schedule our first meeting.
