Teacher Shares

From Colleen Flannery-Schwarz - YouTube with no ADS!! Yes, please. 😀When you grab a link from a YouTube video, all you have to do is add a "-" (dash) after the "t" in YouTube and it will share the video with no ads or sidebar videos. 🙌

Chromebook Tips:

Here is a slideshow with some great Chromebook tips (including how to do screenshots).

How to start a co-host Zoom on Chromebook:

Several Chromebook users were asking how to start a Zoom meeting when the host is not there. There are two ways:

  1. Go to the email from the host and begin meeting from there.

  2. Go to email from Zoom and start meeting from there.

Please see this video.

The host always has to give you scheduling privileges in their zoom settings. Go to “Other” and then “Schedule Privileges”

How to join and change breakout rooms as a co-host on Chromebook:

Several Chromebook users were asking how to join breakout rooms and move to another breakout room when a co-host on a Chromebook. This video will show you how easy it is to do.

New MacBooks Tips

Trackpad - Have you noticed that the trackpad on the new Chromebooks is more sensitive!! I have. Here is an article explaining the trackpad and how to make some adjustments in System Preferences.

Zoom - For a better Zoom experience, it's recommended that you plug in the power cord during Zoom sessions.

Ricoh Scans - Having a hard time finding your Ricoh Scan folder. Check out this quick video

Charger - Be careful when charging the new laptops. The chargers are not magnetic and will not pull out of the computer if you happen to stumble on the cord. The computer could end up on the floor if you are not careful.

Battery Life - To maximize the life of your battery, calibrate your battery once a month and do not leave it plugged in all the time. Calibrating your battery basically maximizes its full charge potential by first fully charging it, then fully draining it, and finally fully charging it again. Apple recommends doing this once a month. Apple does not recommend leaving your MacBook plugged in all the time. When it gets down to 20% plug it into power it up.
