Post #2: Google Meet, Issues with MacBooks and IFP, Software Subscriptions, Keyboarding and Google Tip!

Google Meet: I've been experimenting with Google Meet over the last couple of days. I put together this quick tip sheet identifying several of the new features. The layout has been refreshed! If you have any questions or need further help, just let me know.

Issues with MacBook connecting to Interactive Flat Panel: If you are experiencing any issues with connecting your MacBook to the interactive flat panel or Projector. Please try the following:

  1. Plugin your MacBook to power

  2. Plug and unplug the silver adapter a couple of times

  3. Make sure you have installed the IFP Driver - here is a video tutorial to assist you.

Software Subscriptions: Eva is working quickly to get all subscriptions up and running. Below is a status update. We are working on the renewal for Padlet (teacher logins only). Students can participate on Padlets but cannot create accounts. BrainPop has been renewed but we are sorting out an issue with an error message.

I will continue to post updates as I receive them. Stay tuned...

NOTE
 - So excited to announce we have a NEW keyboarding tool! We now have a paid subscription to Typetastic! I have used the free version with students in the past and they love it. I will be introducing Typetastic to all 1st-5th graders during technology classes over the next week or so.
