Post #3: MacBook OS Update, Student Devices, IFP startup, Organizing Bookmarks, Zoom Update and Dell Computers

As always, if you should have any questions, please reach out! Enjoy the long weekend 😀

MacBook Update: Joe and Alec need to update our teacher MacBooks to the new macOS - Ventura. Please back up local files to Google Drive or Photos before bringing down your laptop. Don't worry about bringing down your charger as Joe and Alec will have several ready to go. This update will take approximately one hour.  Please sign up for a time on this google doc. (Week of December 5th)

Student Device If a student needs a device during isolation or to complete nightly homework, please read our district policy for Elementary Tech @ Home Guidelines

This year the district is asking families to pay an Elementary Maintenance Fee @ Home (similar to the MS and HS). This has been shared with families in the Friday eblast. However, feel free to share this with your families as well!

Interactive Flat Panel:
Please remember to SHUT DOWN both the Panel and the Chromebox (black box behind the board) daily. This ensures a smooth start-up of both the panel and Chromebox. If you are not sure how to do this, please see Beth or join the Viewsonic google classroom where all of this and MORE are covered.

Organizing Bookmarks - Need help organizing those Google Chrome Bookmarks??? Creating folders on my bookmark bar has been a huge time saver for me. I organize all those links into folders. Watch this short video to learn more.

Zoom Update:
Looks like there is a Zoom update. If you are attending any upcoming virtual Zoom meetings, be sure to update BEFORE the meeting.

During the install process - step 2 - Destination Select - make sure to select "install for me only". This will allow you to update Zoom without any password. **I noticed when I did the update today, it skipped step 2 and I had to select change location to go back to step 2.**

Here is a quick video tutorial.
