Post #4: Mac OS Update, IFP, BrainPop, Technology Committee, and Student Device Policy,

Important Reminder

MacBook Updates are happening this week, December 5th - 9th. To sign up or check your appointment slot check this google doc.

Please back up local files to Google Drive or Photos before bringing down your laptop to the Tech Office (Old Base Office). This update will take approximately one hour.

Interactive Flat Panel: On Friday, Alec popped into many classrooms to rename your flat panel to your room number. This will make it easier if you wish to cast from a Macbook or an iPad to your panel. Not sure how to do that? Then see Beth OR join the Viewsonic google classroom where all of this and MORE are covered.

I recently received this email from Brainpop and I'd like to make sure all of us are logging into the tool correctly and maximizing our subscription tools. Please see the poster below to learn how to log in correctly to gain full access to Brainpop. Please talk to me if you have any questions.

Hello Beth,

Your BrainPOP subscription was renewed earlier this year but there are some students and teachers with limited access to BrainPOP tools and learning activities. For full access to everything included with your renewal, teachers, and students need to access BrainPOP through your existing Classlink Roster Server integration.

Let your teachers know! Attached are login instructions that you can share with your teachers detailing how they can access the full BrainPOP subscription they’re entitled to. They’ll get immediate access to auto-graded assessments, movie pause points, student assignments, creative projects, and more, all to drive more impact with BrainPOP.

Student Device  If a student needs a device during isolation or to complete nightly homework, please read our district policy for Elementary Tech @ Home Guidelines

This year the district is asking families to pay an Elementary Maintenance Fee @ Home (similar to the MS and HS). This has been shared with families in the Friday eblast. However, feel free to share this with your families as well!
