As mentioned last week, the Technology Department rolled out a necessary security patch for all district staff MacOS devices that began on October 28th. If you were like me and updated over the weekend, you need to update again to get the latest security patch that was released on Monday, October 26th.
To avoid any potential disruption to your workflow, it's recommend that you run this update manually at home. If you haven't done any updates, then this could take about 20 minutes. If you are updating for a second time, this one should be quicker.
How to update your device:
Open Settings (found on the far left of your dock).
Click on Software Update.
Follow the on-screen prompts.
Note: The system will ask for your personal login password (the one you use to sign in to your computer each day), not an administrator password.
These are important security measures that we need your assistance with.
Tab Groups: Have you tried using this technique to organize your Chrome Tabs? Helpful if you want to open up a group of links - websites, docs...all at once. For example, you have several online resources you want to use with a lesson. Simply open up all those links and add them to a tab group. You can those open/close the group of links all at once. Check out this video for details.
